Who Comes to Your House? (A Little Golden Book)

Who Comes to Your House? by Margaret Hillert, illustrated by Tom O'Sullivan.
Golden Press, Western Publishing Company, 1973.

A new-to-me vintage Little Golden Book! This one features some beautiful 1970s-style illustrations, and some sweet poetry about people who might visit your house. Some would still be current - delivery people, plumbers, babysitters - and some are sadly of their time. I would have love to know you, milkman, visiting nurse, and bookmobile driver. (Is it too late for me to get a bookmobile?)

Oh, look a Disney book ad!

I thought I'd leave you with a behind-the-scenes look at this photo shoot. My morning light was best in the living room. Mabel was jealous. Did you notice her paw sneaking into some of the pictures?

Poor Mabel. Mama was busy!

  1. What a wonderful little book! I love all of those people of yesteryear... the TV repairman! The Pet Helper! The Milkman! And I love that that the back cover shows that Disney book collection. We had that set growing up - wish my mom still had it!

    1. We had a Disney book subscription when I was little. Some of the books are in the girls' reading nook now. :)

    1. Ha! Funny. Although I realized at Little Sis's birthday party and at my Norwex party a few days later, I do take my Little Golden Book rack for granted. I'm used to it, but I realize not everyone has old B&N fixtures in their homes.

    1. Yes! Actually, seeing as how food trucks and other vending trucks have taken off here in the States, I think I need a book truck. For when you're hungry FOR BOOKS.
