Instagrammin'

While Little Sis was in dance class:  Big Sis reads
I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic, 1912.  I read
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.

It is cold.  It is windy.  It is busy around here.  Here are a few pictures I shared on Instagram over the course of the last week.

Mr. B finished putting the living room back together!  He moved
the console record player to this room.  I hope to get
the girls' rooms into photographical shape, but
I fear this may never happen.

Big Sis went to a birthday party.  Little Sis and I went to The Donut Whole.
She had a doughnut.  I had an avocado boba tea.

Then we drove around Historic Midtown and picked out some
favorite houses.  (Here is the Aley House, the Wey Mansion, and the
Skinner-Lee House.)

I successfully completed a crown braid on Big Sis.

Big Sis glued googly eyes to a Band-Aid.  No, she wasn't hurt.

And from my personal Instagram:  Little Sis had her turn at
Star Student of the Month for her class.  I love the reason
given for her achievement:  "for showing compassion
to her classmates."

I have a reading round-up for you tomorrow!  Yes, I did read a couple of books that needed to be returned to the library.  Plus, Big Sis shares her new favorite series with you, and I will show you what I read to the second graders this week!

  1. Avocado Boba Tea is my favorite flavor! I also love the Jasmine Tea with boba for very hot summer days! Congrats to Little Sis on her award! Bib Sis has very long hair now! Beautiful!!! I can't wait for my baby's hair to grow long so I can braid them :)

    1. I was stuck on taro for the longest time, but avocado has taken over as my favorite! LOVE it. I need to try more flavors, though. It's fun to mess with hair when she'll let me! Little Sis's is such a mess. I need to get her trimmed up, as her sister accidentally nicked some out of the back while attempting to cut a stuck ponytail holder. Oops. I'm waiting until after their dance recital, so that way I'll have a little length with which to make a bun. This summer, she's probably getting bobbed again! ;)

    1. Aww, thanks! This is probably the only room I'm currently proud of, but we do have plans! We just have to figure out how to implement them. I'm obsessed with local history. These homes are in a part of town I'm not sure I'd want to live in, but they're so beautiful! There is a website full of historic Wichita photographs through the decades, and it's cool to compare the old photos with the current structures. My husband hates to see me on the history sites, because I tend to get sucked in for hours!

Thank you for the kind words! :)

Comments are welcome! I'm a shy blog commenter, too, but I do love to read what people have to say. All I ask is, please be kind, to me and to each other.
