Obsessive Halloween Nostalgia Disorder: Tweety at Two

Okay, I think that old plastic Halloween masks and costumes are just a little creepy.  Don't you think? That's tiny, two-year-old me as Tweety Pie.  I love the cat on my treat bag.  In fact, I vaguely remember that guy.  I probably held on to the bag for a while.

I love old Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies so much.  They were always my daddy's favorite, and they were our favorite thing to watch on Saturday morning.  I would love to post some here for you, but Warner Bros. keeps a very close eye on its copyrighted material.  I especially love the episodes with a "scary" theme:  "Hyde and Go Tweet," the Witch Hazel cartoons, "Transylvania 6-5000," the Gossamer cartoons...

Anyway, here is what you get if you cross Tweety Pie with a teddy bear.

Here is my plastic mask post from last year.

  1. I love it! Those old masks were creepy! I have an old photo of me at an Easter egg hunt at around age two or three... that Easter bunny costume was cree-py. Those dead eyes! That creepy face! Hahahaha!!!

    1. Tee hee! I have vintage masks hanging in the family room for Halloween decorations. They're meant to be a bit scary, though... ;)

    1. The picture of me in the Apple Dumplin' mask that I posted last year is a bit creepy. I hated those costumes as a kid, and always wished for something better. Now I see the price tags on the stuff they sell today, and I think, whatever happened to the creepy but cheap plastic costumes... ;)

    1. Haha! Thanks. A friend of mine posted a picture on Facebook today of she and her sister dressed up for Halloween when they were little. Her sister is wearing the exact same costume!

    1. Thanks! I got a chance to go through 5 boxes of old pictures at my mother's in Oklahoma. These cracked me up. I remember Halloween when I was three, but I don't remember being Tweety when I was two. I remember that coat, though! I'm not sure, but I think it was a Winnie the Pooh coat. I was Pooh crazy!
