Souvenirs

We're heading home.  Sad to leave the wonderful East Coast and the girls' uncles.  Tomorrow, we will shop for school supplies and lunchboxy things.  School starts after that.

Thought I'd share a picture from yesterday, and a snapshot of the girls' souvenirs from that place.
I love DC.

  1. I can't wait to share this post with Kate. She loves Abraham Lincoln so much. In fact, on the way to the voting booth in the last presidential election, Kate very confidently told me that she will be voting for Abraham Lincoln. Well, I had a little explaining to do in regards to time periods but was certainly proud of her admiration. :)

    1. Awesome! We actually watched the movie Lincoln (Mr. B and me) with my brother-in-law while we were there. It was kind of cool visiting the Memorial so soon after watching it. :)

  2. I loved seeing bits and pieces of your vacation via insta. It just looked like a fabulous time! How did the girls like the beach??? This was their first time? I so wish I could just transport my family to the beach for one afternoon. Being landlocked, grrr.

    1. It was their first time! You can't get much more landlocked than Kansas. I hadn't seen the ocean for at least 13 years myself. It was cool and breezy for August, and the water was pretty cold, but totally worth it. We loved it!
