Spring Has (Sorta) Sprung

Random info:  Sunday was warm.  We had some lovely threatening clouds overhead, but nothing really came of them.  No storms.  But then yesterday cooled off significantly, and today the high should only be around 45.  The blossoms are blowing off the many, many Bradford pear trees.  The weather forecast calls for possible flurries this week.  I'll believe it when I see it, but it makes me laugh.  I love watching everyone complain about the weather on Facebook.

More random info:  Sunday was a busy day for Big Sis.  She started her final rehearsal for Aladdin Jr. - she played a townsperson - at 2 PM, had dinner with the cast, then performed in her first of two shows at 7. Those kids worked so hard!  The show was very cute.  They had one more performance last night.  Big Sis loved the whole experience.  She is already gung-ho to do another play!  And while Big Sis was rehearsing on Sunday, Little Sis and I had a gelato date downtown, then a bit of a walkabout.  The weather was warm, but allergy season is in full swing, and Little Sis wasn't in the mood to hang out as much as I would have wanted.  We were parked right by my favorite downtown antique store, but she wouldn't let me go in!  All I could do was window shop.  Sigh.

And even more random info:  I have a cheap smartphone.  My dumbphone, as I called it, was stolen with my purse last September, and it wasn't much more to upgrade, so I did.  The camera isn't the same quality as an iPhone or Galaxy, but I have fun with it, all the same.  Instagram is a bit addictive.  To make it even more fun, I added the PicsArt app, and it's hard to stop. messing. with. the.pictures.  I'm a dork.  The novelty hasn't quite worn off yet, so bear with me.

    1. Thank you! And keep an eye out for kids' theatre classes or children's theatre groups! Both girls, even my shy one, love their dance classes. I'm curious to see how my little one does in elementary school. She'll be attending the same performing arts magnet as her sister next year. :o)

  2. omg. I love it all! Love the Alladin costume on Big Sis! Love your awesome lens flare pics! (just WAIT till you see what Andrew and I are up to tomorrow, you will laugh and laugh, speaking of lens flare.)

in a couple wks, Julia is gonna take a musical performance after school class thru a local theater company, because she wants to do something singing related. The kids are going to be doing songs from Seussical the Musical, I think. I hope she has fun! It sounds fun! I think theater is such a great endeavor for kids to become engaged in, so many fun things to do....:) xoxoxo

    1. Oh, awesome! I hope Julia loves it! I can't wait to hear about it! I'm going to enroll Big Sis in at least one theatre class this summer. Little Sis is going to take...

      Princess camp. (Ugh.)

It's another dance & theatre combination class - which did not work out for her this year - but this one is a one-week camp and it's all princess, all the time. She's very excited. I'm just glad she wants to do something.

And you know my lens flare is so fake. Apps are fun. ;o)

  3. I love your pictures! Your girls are so sweet! I have taken over two thousand pictures with my phone. I know... and I love playing with the picture apps on my phone too. It's addictive. Hope it warms up for you. I think we are supposed to be in the low 90's by Saturday.

    1. Oh, dear. I'm not ready for heat at all. We had two record-breaking summers in a row - 110-115 humid degrees... I hate heat. I don't really mind the cold, but the girls want to ride their new bike and scooter. I guess we may have thunderstorms tomorrow, but I think they might miss us.

And thank you! I have a nice fancy real camera, but I'm wishing for a fancier lens... I don't have games on my phone, nor much else, but I keep running out of storage space between camera apps and photos! xxxooo
